Lorraine Lojko is an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who works with individual adults with a wide range of issues and problems including: depression/low mood; anxiety; stress; self-esteem/confidence; assertiveness; life transitions; anger/aggression; alcohol and substance related issues; eating and body image issues; relaxation; bereavement/grief; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); relationship issues; and many more issues. 

Lorraine is particularly experienced in working with alcohol and substance related issues/relapse prevention, recovery interventions, anger management, self-esteem/confidence, decision making, assertiveness, depression, anxiety/health, transactional change, and self-esteem issues.

Lorraine's way of working

Lorraine uses a range of counselling and therapy approaches such as person centred therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy and motivational interviewing in order to meet each client’s needs and aspirations. She works in a collaborative and flexible way with a view to empowering each individual and supporting them as they find ways to move forwards.  
 

Lorraine's background and experience

Lorraine has over 17 years' experience working as a counsellor. She has worked in a range of settings including: in private practice, for charities, and within a university setting. 

Lorraine has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (both from Abertay University), and an MA (hons) in Psychology from the University of Dundee. Prior to training as a counsellor, Lorraine obtained a Diploma in Reflexology from Aberdeen University.

Lorraine is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).



 

Lorraine's fee
